SAME OLD SONG & DANCE,I TOO WAS DENIED BOTH SHORT TERM & LONG TERM. CONTINUE TO FIGHT ALERT OTHERS IF SOMEONE STARTS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUITE MAY BE THEN THEY WILL LEARN.I PAYED WITH A PROMISE THAT THEY WILL PAY IN AN EVENT THAT IF I BECAME DISABLED SO FAR THAT HAS BEEN A LIE THAT I PROMISE TOO CHANGE.
Liberty mutual denied my short term disability claim and now I was forced to submit a long term claim . I am terrified and disgusted with them. I have worked for The Home Depot now for almost 12 years. I have always paid the extra cost for short/long term disability. When I became sick last year they left me out of luck a and out of money!!! I am widowed with 2 daughters and haven’t been paid since last July. January 21 2013 I was finally diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia. And I’m left with bills No money and am not able to return to work. Please help me.
Ouch. I’m so sorry for your pain and suffering. Unfortunately I know what you are going through. You should immediately apply for SSDI if you haven’t already. Find doctors that will support you. I hate to say it but it doesn’t sound good for you. And if 60% of your income is not around $4,000 most lawyers won’t even take your case. LM is a cruel, heartless company that cares nothing for human suffering only profits. I want to see them pay valid claims if they don’t I want to see them go down…
GOOD LUCK THE SAME HAPPENED TO ME ,DO NOT WAIT, GO HEAD AN FILE THE APPEAL ON THE SHORT TERM CLAIM SO YOU WILL NOT LOSE TIME. THEY WILL DENY THE CLAIM ON THE LONG TERM ALSO.
Not only was I denied, but experienced and still experiencing very poor response turn around time from claims manager.
In brief I was denied on two occasions short term disability claims. One was a claim that required me to take care of an ill family member which was my husband who actually passed away two days after I returned to work, and on another occasion I was denied in 2010 for a chronic condition called vertigo in which the year 2008 I was approved for the EXACT same condition. These two denials resulted in the termination of my employment and severe hardship family
who were already facing tremendous loss and tragedy. What can I do?
