A new culture is starting to form in Liberty Mutual. It’s a culture that may actually reboot the company but would require getting rid of the horrible management hired over the past few years. Centralizing power fosters immoral behavior and Liberty Mutual is the poster child of a company who’s corporate culture has run amuck. Wake up employees! Overthrow your immoral managers and manage yourselves. If you don’t you will not survive. Here is your wakeup call:








They stop paying employees for over time again. We need a strong team of law firm to reach out to Liberty Mutual employees to investigate this problem.
I discover this website right after I started my career with LM in the Personal Market Division (PM Market). None sense, foolish, and pathetic were the words I used to describe this website two and a half years ago. I thought this website is host by the angry ones who got laid off due to Re-organization in 2008 and they devote their energy into website and their goal is to destroy LM. Yes, I still strongly feel about that way.
In my personal point of view, I believe that some of those who got laid off were dead beats because I know there were a lot of people got lazy and they are not very effective any more. It’s fair to say that many of those blood suckers still work for LM and yes a tone of them are still here.
Many sales manager do not know anything about sales, never done sales in the past, and they don’t even know how to quote a policy and they are getting pay between $90k to $120k per year.
LM hired/promoted many incompetent sales managers that do not have any sales background and many sales manager actually never sell before. They have a 20% increase on auto and home renewal and they believe that’s the best way to grow and compete against the top 5.
Anyways, I am not here to make this company to look bad but a little honesty perhaps could earn some trust and attention. Just say you know, many of these articles are very accurate. I didn’t want to believe it however, about a year ago, there was an article point out the Lean Six Sigma adoption and shortly after that article was released a new area manager briefly mentioned about the claim process and today as the first quarter 2012 many of us are noticing automatic rejection in auto/home policies and NONE renewal for no reasons. I didn’t want to believe it but something really changed.
July 2012 the company announce another re-org many positions were eliminated …then I’ve visit this website I’ve read this “Calling for a Transformation of the Workplace” … I hope change would come and I hope this MUTUAL company would wake up and see what’s really going on with this company.
Hello Sharon – FYI, according to the recent employee survey, less than 45% of the employees feel like LM is not doing anything to keep the valuable employees and we have a 88% participation this year.
I believe that many who has anything to do with this website are getting info from the current employees.
Prediction for the next 3 to 5 years:
Mass laid off
Call center driven – service and sales
Managers who are incompetent would be fired or demoted
Area manager position would be eliminated
Call Center Sales rep would continue to write bad policies and rate would continue to increase.
Why do you stay with such an abusive company Sean? Could it be you don’t care about the pain and suffering they inflict on their employees, the disabled, the injured and others that are insured with them? They refuse to pay even when they know they should. Perhaps those dead beat employees were fed up and not dead beat. You sound young and you are learning a lesson early in life but you still have a ways to go. I hope you wake up before it’s too late for our country because if things don’t change and fast we are doomed. Liberty Mutual needs to either reform itself or go under and their arrogance means they will go under before they ever reform. Good bye Liberty Mutual.
Alas,Liberty has never been advertising more.When I was there, we had a golf tournament and an old guy with a fishing program.No advertising, but a lot of appreciation from management and customers.My guess is that Sean is right.Liberty wants the majority of business written by call centers in order to close local offices and eliminate those jobs.I would bet that they would be happy to off shore the call center jobs as well.I switched and have a new company with a local office a mile from my house and a savings of $800 per year.
@ Sharon – I don’t know anything about you and I am trying to stay as honest as possible. There are still a lot of people who aren’t doing what they are supposed to be doing from the top management to the office admin. A lot of them are still incompetent but there are still some good people who work hard.
Anyways, I am not here to argue with you and but simply reporting based on what I’ve seen, what I’ve discovered.
You need to quit that “wake up before it’s too late for our country” speech, if I knew what I know now you think I would choose this career path? Please don’t spread your negative energy. I am a fair person and this is a two way street, if you don’t like it then get out…that’s how I feel.
Why I am still with this company, it’s my business but leave your negative energy out of this. No offense you just want to pick up a fight.

Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters uses LM as their WC carrier. They do deny, stall and lie on medical records sent to the Workers Comp Commission.
Coca Cola use to use them for LTD. They may have administered their claims for them.
You said it best Mr. Liberty. I hope that Liberty Mutual will see the error of their ways but I don’t think they will. The place to really hit them hard is on the policies they sell to some of the largest employers. The employees have LTD policies that are useless and don’t pay out. LM jumps through hoops to deny the disabled their benefits and the employees are helpless and at their mercy. So is the way with ERISA contracts and LM knows that they can deny claims and get away with it. They are making billions off the helpless disabled. It is a crime and deserves attention. If we find out which large employers are insuring with LM they can be approached. Ask them to cancel their group policies with LM. This will cost them billions in a short period of time.
Employers you are only hurting your valued employees when a valid claim is denied you take out another consumer and their family members suffer. Former and current employees that have income drive the economy not Liberty Mutual. Liberty Mutual pays out their retained billions to a handful of top executives. Wake up employers Liberty Mutual is hurting your bottom line.
